Scott Guenthner Locks in Fourth Canadian Title

Reigning Champion Scott Guenthner is carrying on the family tradition as he secured his fourth Canadian Championship with a total of $73,326 in earnings for the season.

Guenthner claimed the No. 1 spot in 2018, 2019 and 2022 and returned to defend his title in Red Deer as he stayed consistent to collect $32,316 in round earnings across six performances at the CFR.

“It’s kind of a special year for our family in general, my dad got inducted to the Hall of Fame this year, I ended up winning the Calgary Stampede 40 years later than he did and 43 years later I’ve now won my fourth Canadian Championship " he said.

For good measure, Guenthner also won more than $14,000 for his Aggregate win to cruise to the title in 2023. Dalton Massey, who finished the regular season No. 1 in the PRCA and CPRA, took second.
