Josh Frost is now the No. 5 ranked bull rider in the World after a huge win came his way at the 46th George Paul Memorial Xtreme Bull Riding. This win makes him your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
Frost’s matchup in Round 1 was Rafter G Rodeo’s Caesar. It was the bull’s second out of the year and second out in Del Rio and Frost made the eight to be 88 points. It was half a point away from the Go-Round win and still worth $3,600 to advance him to the Finals.
In the Finals, Frost put together the highest marked ride of the bull riding when he matched up with Sutton Rodeo’s Schott in the Dark to be 91 points. This is the second qualified ride on the bull, the first was Trey Holston for 90.5 in Grand Island, Nebraska this February.
To add to his success, Frost entered the town of Del Rio with momentum as he claimed a Go-Round check and Average money at the Clovis Rodeo Xtreme Bulls with an 86-point ride on April 24.
With a total of 179 on two head, Frost claimed this win by five points over Roscoe Jarboe and brought his total season earnings to $66,732.
Frost was outside the Top 20 just two weeks ago and started the weekend outside the Top 10 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings.
