No. 1 Rookie Bareback Rider Weston Timberman Claims Resistol Rookie Roundup Title

Westan Timberman furthers his lead in the Resistol Rookie race after success in Cowtown.

Westo Timberman came into the Resistol Rookie Roundup as the No. 1 rookie in the bareback riding and three Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s horses later, he remains there with a further lead.

Timberman advanced to the Shootout Round after a 77-point ride in the Long Round. From there he went to the Final 4 where he finally had his chance to climb on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Night Star.

“I had that horse drawn last week at the San Angelo Cinch Chute-Out and I had a college rodeo I had to get going to so I couldn’t make it. I was kind of bummed to turn that horse out but what goes around comes around, we got her tonight and it worked out,” Timberman said.

Timberman now leads the Resistol Rookie race with $31,225 and has his sights set on the Top 15 in the World as he is ranked No. 18 after the Resistol Rookie Roundup.

Colt Eck cashed in as the second highest money earner in the bareback riding followed by Mason Stuller who won the Long Round as the Top 3 in the bareback riding.
