Sage Newman and Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Code Blue Take Over Top Spot in San Angelo

The lead in San Angelo has changed after Sage Newman’s trip in Performance 5.

Sage Newman is just outside of the Top 10 in the World by around $400 and a win in San Angelo would be more than enough to send him into the Top 10. Thanks to his 87.5-point ride, he is right where he needs to be.

“That’s what it’s all about, having my buddies here helping me and getting on great bucking horses like that. Happy to be here, that was a great horse of Pete’s, had a really good day and I’m happy I matched up with him,” Newman said.

Newman pushed Lefty Holman to No. 2 by just half a point while Tanner Butner, who was also out in Performance 5 lands No. 6 on the board.
