Orin Larsen Starts Sixth Trip to Canadian Finals Rodeo Off Strong with Round 1 Win

A matchup with Duane Kesler’s Knockout for Orin Larsen landed him in the sweet spot on top of the leaderboard. The judges scores totaled for 86 points to get Larsen’s Canadian Finals Rodeo started out just right.

“It’s just kind of repetition from training at home and all year-round. It’s awesome to have it pay off, especially this early at the CFR. I wanted to start with a bang so here we are,” Larsen said.

He said this Go-Round win gives him a huge boost of momentum in what is a marathon not a sprint.

It was a 86 that was worth over $9,000 for the 2019 CFR Champion and he now leads the Canadian Standings by about $1,000.
