Newly Crowned Champion Trey Kimzey is the Only Cowboy to Make the Eight on Championship Saturday in Austin

Trey Kimzey took a reride to get the job done at Rodeo Austin and take home the win.

Placing in Round 2 of Rodeo Austin locked in Trey Kimzey’s chance to win it all in the Final Round and he did just that. Although it came after a re-ride, Kimzey’s second matchup of the night was one that he was ready for.

“Actually I rode that bull last year in Woodward, Oklahoma and got the win there. When they said he was the re-ride I couldn’t be more excited, I mean, big crowd, Austin, second bull tonight, it’s awesome,” Kimzey said.

The bull power brought by Beutler and Son Rodeo and Andrews Rodeo made for a tough Championship Saturday in Austin as Kimzey was the only one to make the whistle. His 89-point ride added $27,000 to his name and he now sits just outside the Top 15 in the World after entering Rodeo Austin outside the Top 30.
