Lefty Holman Takes Big Lead at Rodeo Austin on Rafter G Rodeo’s Jezebelle

Saddle bronc rider Lefty Holman moves to No. 1 in Austin with impressive 86.5-point ride.

Lefty Holman left no doubt that he is coming for the title in Austin after he put together a picture perfect ride on ranch raised Rafter G Rodeo’s Jezebelle.

“Right there, I just wanted to be really patient in the chute, make sure she took that step forward. That horse sometimes wants to run down the gate a bit so I wanted that step that way she didn’t do that. She left great, left clean. But once we got out in the arena, little ground poundy, one of those that are fun to ride but they’re hitting the ground hard so you’ve got to make sure to do everything correct,” Holman said.

Holman is riding a high after an impressive trip to Houston, a reset in Hawaii and it is still going as he takes over the lead in Austin.

Sitting at No. 2 is Tegan Smith and it is Rusty Wright who rounds out the Top 3 this far in Austin.
