Bullfighter Cody Emerson Looking at his Comeback

Bullfighter Cody Emerson was injured during the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo while filling if for other injured bullfighter, Dusty Tuckness.

Since then, Emerson had surgery and has been recovering. He was no weight bearing on that foot for 11 weeks which he says felt like a long process. He has been cleared to walk and start working out.

“I’ve been swimming everyday and, actually, Tuck has been sending me stuff to do on the air bike and all kinds of stuff so I should be getting started here pretty soon, honestly,” Emerson said.

Emerson is looking forward to being back for his home state rodeo in Fort Smith, Arkansas over Memorial Day weekend with plans to keep going into the summer run.

“I’m excited to get back going, I know I’m ready to fight some bulls and ready to get back out there,” he said.

Old Fort Days Rodeo starts on May 30 and we look forward to hopefully seeing Emerson back on the dirt.
