Barrel Racer Kassie Mowry is a Two-Time, Consecutive San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Champion

Kassie Mowry clocks the fastest time of the rodeo to win her second San Antonio title.

Kassie Mowry absolutely flew to her second San Antonio title after being the No. 2 cowgirl from Semifinals 1 to advance. On Championship Saturday, the gloves came off when Mowry and Jarvis came down the alley. The two stopped the clock at 13.68 to be the fastest run of the rodeo to be the champions.

“Will finished his set out really strong, I was really proud of where he got me, to the Semifinals and I had a workout at home and he wasn’t 100% and so we threw Jarvis in there for the Semifinals and he got me to the Short go and I just felt like I needed to give him another chance. I thought that he had more to give here,” Mowry said on her horse change.

The duo was last out on the ground and benefited from a drag between the 10th and 11th barrel racer to be just off of the arena record. This is Mowry’s fourth rodeo of the season and as she said, it opens the door for a potential fifth National Finals Rodeo qualification.
