If you ask Jymmy Kay Cox, it is just a God thing. She clocked the fastest run we have seen at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo when she turned in a 14.03 to take over the lead in Round 2 by half a second.
“Praise be to God. That’s really all I’ve got, truly, that’s all I’ve got and a really nice horse,” Cox said.
Cox now sits No. 2 in the Average and is looking at her shot at the Finals on a horse that was sent to her by God and good friend. As she goes forward, her game plan will stay the same: a good set up to the first barrel and then stay out of his way.
Dona Kay Rule and Valor hold the top spot in the Average with a time of 30.25 seconds on two runs.
The Top 12 on two runs will come back to the Finals and you can catch it all on The Cowboy Channel.
