FWSSR Marks The Official Kick-Off To The Texas Swing Programming Line-Up on The Cowboy Channel

January 13, 2023 Fort Worth, Texas -- The Cowboy Channel will exclusively air all rodeo performances for the legendary 2023 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) live from Dickie’s Arena January 13 - February 4. The FWSSR broadcast series on The Cowboy Channel will kick off today, Friday, January 13th at 8:30pm ET with back-to-back nights of the Best of the West Ranch Rodeo, where the top ranches from across the country compete in seven exciting events. Following the ranch rodeo performances will be the Best of Mexico Celebración rodeo performance on Sunday, January 15th at 8:30pm CT and then the Cowboys of Color Rodeo on Monday, January 16 at 2pm ET.

  • The ProRodeo competition officially bucks straight out of the chutes on Tuesday, January 17 and Wednesday, January 18 at 8:30pm ET with Bulls Night Out PRCA Xtreme Bull Riding where the world’s toughest bull riders take their shot on some of the rankest bulls in the country.
  • The Texas Champions Challenge follows on January 19 at 8:30pm ET when athletes representing Rodeo Houston, San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, Rodeo Austin, San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo and the FWSSR will compete for the prestigious Texas Champions Challenge titles.
  • Then, the $1.1 million-dollar FWSSR PRORODEO Tournament starts with Bracket 1, Round 1 on Friday, January 20 at 8:30pm ET and runs for 18 straight performances leading into Championship Finals on Saturday, February 4th at 8:30pm ET. A FWSSR Rodeo Pre-Show will air nightly beginning with Bulls Night Out. Hosted by Anthony Lucia and Amy Wilson along with Katy Lucas and Scott Schiffner, the program will air 30 minutes prior to the ProRodeo performances.

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo was recently named PRCA Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year in 2022 and is the official kick off to the Texas Swing primetime programming line-up on The Cowboy Channel. Following FWSSR will be the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo (February 9-26), Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (February 28-March 19), Rodeo Austin (March 10-25), and San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo (March 31-April 2 and April 6-15).

All performances of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo will air exclusively on The Cowboy Channel, the Official Network of ProRodeo, in addition to livestreaming and on demand available for subscribers of PRCA on Cowboy Channel+. This will be The Cowboy Channel’s third year broadcasting FWSSR rodeo.
