The Women’s Rodeo World Championship is once again preparing for their exciting event with a range of developments and opportunities for female rodeo athletes. Commissioner Lindsey Ross joins us to discuss the recent announcement from the WRWC and the introduction of the limited tier category.
The limited tier aims to open up the competition to more participants, particularly focusing on those who may be newer to the sport or not at the top tier of competition.
The WRWC has been working closely with partner organizations like the PBR and the World Champions Rodeo Alliance to bring high-quality events and opportunities for female athletes. They have already paid over $3 million to athletes in the last four years and continue to support female rodeo athletes through their events.
This year’s WRWC event will take place from May 13th to 18th, with the finals set to take place at AT&T Stadium on May 18th. The event will feature the top teams in roping and barrel racing, offering a chance for women to showcase their skills.
