Coleman Proctor and Logan Medlin were on a mission in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and it was successful. The duo won Round 2 to advance to the eight-man round before they went on to the Finals where a 3.4-second run, their fastest run of the weekend, cinched them a $25,000 win.
“Man, that was all my horse. I don’t know what kind of start I was trying to take. He was head shaking and saying no, we shouldn’t be leaving yet. He got us out of the barrier then Logan threw fast like he always does,” Proctor said.
Proctor sneaks in his eight National Finals Rodeo qualification while Medlin enters this year’s NFR the No. 10 ranked heeler in the World.
“This is a dream come true. I mean, to get to rope for this much money at the end, in a state like this that supports rodeo as much as yall do, we can’t thank you enough for everything you do. I’m just super blessed, my family got to be with me. It was awesome,” Medlin said.
Las Vegas will see Proctor and Medlin once again come December.
