It has been a great start to RodeoHouston for 2019 World Champion Haven Meged. Meged, who is currently No. 6 in the Tie-Down Roping PRCA World Standings has set himself up nicely to move on in Houston.
Meged opened Super Series 5 with a 9.8-second run to win the round by nearly two full seconds over Shad Mayfield. That run earned Meged $3,000 and gave him a great shot at advancing to the Semis.
In Round 2 of his Super Series Meged went 8.8 seconds to get his second round win in a row. This time Meged won the round over Blaine Cox to earn another $3,000. Meged all but guaranteed his spot in the Semifinals after the two round wins.
Meged, who finished No. 2 in the World in 2023, is up to No. 6 in the PRCA World Standings. He has won at least one round during at three stops of the Texas Swing so far.
