Kaleb Driggers announced that his horse Cuervo will be retiring after helping Driggers to two World Titles.
The first Gold Buckle on Cuervo came in 2021 and the second came a year later in 2022.
Driggers loved the horse from the second he met him, but after a failed vet check, the purchase almost didn’t happen. After sending Cuervo back and trying several more horses, Driggers said nothing fit him quite like Cuervo.
That is when his wife told him to buy the horse and if something happens it happens.
Driggers posted a thank you to the horse that has meant so much to his career on his social media.
“Cuervo is the one who made the dreams come true that I’ve had since I was a kid when he took me to a World Championship for the first time. It isn’t the easiest decision to retire him when he is still able to go, but he gives me his all, and he deserves the easy life before he sustains an injury.”
