Stetson Wright had a National Finals Rodeo he will never forget as he entered in at No. 1 in the World Standings in both bull riding and saddle bronc riding, however, due to a hamstring strain in his right leg, Wright was unable to finish out the 10 rounds.
Due to the extent of the injury, Wright will undergo surgery that requires a healing time of six months to a year.
The eight-time World Champion says he will make his return to rodeo once he is able to perform at his best.
Despite the setback, Wright was able to secure his eighth career Gold Buckle as he accumulated $479,620 in earnings to claim the All-Around World Title for the fifth time in his career.
