Tanner Tomlinson is coming off an impressive NFR debut in 2022.

He and partner Patrick Smith won the Average and it allowed Tomlinson to finish as the No. 2 header overall in the year-end PRCA World Standings.

This year, Tomlinson is the No. 9 man in the World heading into Las Vegas but is only about $40,000 off the pace set by reigning World Champion Kaleb Driggers.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

Cody Stampede (Wyoming), $7,332

Tomlinson/Smith won around $24,000 across eight different rodeos during Fourth of July week and none paid more than Cody as the pair was 4.6 seconds to win of the country’s richest one-headers. It was one of five times 4.7 seconds or faster by the team that week.

Rodeo Austin, $6,885

Tomlinson/Smith placed in all three rounds in Austin including second in Round 1, seventh in Round 2 and fourth in the Finals.

Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, $5,320

To kick off the Texas Swing, Tomlinson/Smith finished second in the seventh and final bracket in Fort Worth before getting a $4,000 payday for winning the Semifinals with a time of 3.9 seconds.

FASTEST RUNS

Old Fort Days Rodeo (Arkansas), 3.7 Seconds

In the final performance of the Old Fort Days, Tomlinson/Smith claimed victory by four tenths to win more than $3,000. Tomlinson was one of eight headers to have multiple times of 3.7 Seconds or Faster during the 2023 season.

NOTABLE WINS

Silver State Stampede (Nevada), 3.8 Seconds

At a PRCA Playoff Series Rodeo in Elko, they won $4,600 for a single run. That same weekend in the middle of July, they also won the Ute Stampede (Colorado) with a 3.9 and won Round 2 of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo with a 4.8.
