Lefty Holman Tastes Success in San Antonio for the Third Time with Semifinals Win

Lefty Holman’s big time ride has him one step closer to finishing the job in San Antonio

Lefty Holman has been on a roll in Frost Bank Center and Thursday night’s round of Semifinals was no different. He matched up with Toma Jo to put together a textbook saddle bronc ride that was marked 89 points.

“Starting with a good spur out, Janie. Like I said last night, that’s the start of everything so that’s what I’m focused on every round, every horse they run under me,” Holman said.

He cinched the Semifinals win by 3.5 points, but for the three-time National Finals Rodeo bronc rider, this a small victory. The big victory is one he is coming for on Saturday night.

“The hard part is now,” he said. “I am going to stay focused, not celebrate too much, go kiss my wife.”

Joining Holman in the Finals from Semifinals 1 is Isaac Diaz, Logan Cook, Sage Newman and Dawson Hay.
