Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi had undoubtedly the best regular season of her career, achieving multiple first-time wins, setting new arena records and earnings records, surpassing the $3 million in career earnings, and ultimately securing her 17th National Finals Rodeo qualification as the top-ranked cowgirl in the WPRA.
With $270,563 to her name, she enters the NFR with more than any barrel racer ever.
BIGGEST PAYDAYS
Calgary Stampede, $36,200
Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi collected the largest check of the season North of the border at the Calgary Stampede where she claimed the title. Pozzi Tonozzi snagged the No. 1 spot in Rounds 1 and 2 of Pool C to advance into the Semifinals with $16,000 accumulated ($11,200 of which counted toward the standings). A run of 17.39 seconds secured Tonozzi’s position in the Finals, where she made the second-fastest run of the rodeo to win the $50,000 big check ($25,000 of which counted toward the standings). It was the first time in her career she was won The Calgary Stampede.
Puyallup Cinch Playoffs (Washington), $18,863
Pozzi Tonozzi was the best barrel racer all summer long and that included when all of the best were in one place. Nearing the end of the regular season, she kept her foot on the gas as she claimed the No. 1 spot at the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup, Washington. She collected $13,000 of her earnings in the Final Round where she turned in a time of 13.99 seconds to take home the title.

That Famous Preston Night Rodeo (Idaho), 16.59 Seconds
The next closest cowgirl to Pozzi Tonozzi was Sissy Winn at 16.88 seconds. It was part of streak in which Pozzi Tonozzi placed on nine consecutive runs between July 20 and July 29.
Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo, 16.64 Seconds
At her final regular season rodeo before the Governor’s Cup, Pozzi Tonozzi cruised to victory in Stephenville by almost three tenths. Once again, it was Sissy Winn who was the closest at 16.91.
Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo, 16.79 Seconds
Pozzi Tonozzi won the First Performance to advance to the Gold Medal Round, where she won the $10,000 first place prize and beat out World No. 2 Jordon Briggs.
NOTABLE WINS
Reno Rodeo, 51.35 on Three
In addition to Calgary, another prestigious first for Pozzi Tonozzi came in Reno to kickoff 100 Rodeos in 100 Days. She won the Finals and the Average to take home the title by one one hundredth of a second over Haily Kinsel. She banked a total of $11,000 and during the entirety of 100 Rodeos in 100 Days, Pozzi Tonozzi won a whopping $223,000.
Dodge City Roundup (Kansas), 51.32 Seconds on Three
A 16.81-second run in the Final Round solidified Tonozzi’s position at the top of the leaderboard as she added yet another championship to her name. The same weekend, she also won the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo (Colorado).
Caldwell Night Rodeo, 50.90 on Three
Just two weeks after Dodge City, Pozzi Tonozzi added another PRCA Playoff Series win when she won the Finals and the Average once again in Caldwell. She placed in the Top 2 on all three of her runs there and won at least $1,400 in every single round in addition to almost $4,000 for the Average.
Ellensburg Rodeo, 51.21 on Three
Give it another two weeks, and she did it again. Over Labor Day Weekend, Pozzi Tonozzi once again placed in Top 2 in all three rounds to win the Average. She completed the win in style with an arena record 16.90-second run in the Finals.
