All About: Rodeo Queens

Rodeo Queens - Keri Sheffield

Coming to The Cowboy Channel as part of Ladies Night on TCC, this new original series goes behind the scenes at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas, highlighting not only the pageant experience from check-in to coronation but also the daily life of a rodeo queen.

Following cowgirls from across the country throughout the 2019 pageant process, season one looks at just what it takes to be a rodeo queen through the eyes of the contestants — from their horsemanship training to beauty regimens to public speaking. The queens tell all, discussing their backgrounds and roles as rodeo ambassadors, preparation for Miss Rodeo America, relationships with their fellow contestants, and the stresses of competition.

Watch the good, the bad, and the ugly — from how the rodeo queens handle their triumphs and obstacles throughout the pageant process to their tips and tricks for getting runway ready to how they get along while vying for the prestigious title of Miss Rodeo America.

“A lot of people don’t understand what rodeo queens do, but we are first and foremost the ambassador for the sport of rodeo and the Western way of life.” — Morgan Wallace, Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2019

“You have to be a veterinarian, a politician, rodeo historian, and fashionista.” — Taylor McNair, Miss Rodeo Mississippi 2019

“These are true hardworking women. They have their nails done, but they ain’t afraid to break them.” — Amanda Chmielewski, Miss Rodeo Wisconsin 2019
